Have you noticed that cats generally dont like tap water and often will walk past a bowl of water to drink from a puddle in the garden. I understand that this is because they dont like the chemicals in our drinking water. Why not put some water in a jug and let it stand for a day or so, before giving it to your cat. It is especially important if you feed your cat dried food that they get plenty of water.
