When we set up Sweeney Dog nearly 2 1/2 yrs ago we always thought that the way to expand was through the franchise route. Our backgrounds couldn’t be more different, Phil was a groomer and Bernard an accountant. Yet what we both saw was that even during a recession, if you get the right business model , and make it work effectively, what you build is a strong business that is ideally suited to further sustainable growth as the economy moves forward.

We have seen consistent patterns of growth, year on year, to the point that we can now predict accurately what the dog walking business will be doing in 3 to 6 months time. The forecast trend lines have all been met or exceeded and we are extremely confident that we will hit £8500 per month turnover by spring 2011 , three month ahead of schedule.

What have we got right? , we had a marketing plan that we have stuck with consistently from the beginning. It works! so why change it. We got the basics right, the right vans, scheduling and logistics. We have a fantastic website supported by a great team, that generates loads of traffic (we were no.1 on Google for Dog walking York within weeks of going live). We offer a personalised service, that develops and enhances the customers experience and generates trust and loyalty. We have made a few mistakes and we can help you avoid these , which saves you money and time.

If you want to be your own boss, work in a recession proof environment, work with animals and the outdoors, a Sweeney Dog Franchise is a great way to fulfil those dreams and generate great income potential . Its hard work, but we are there to help guide you. We will give you practical training that shows you how it works We give you exclusive area , which is large enough to develop your business over the years ahead. In addition and we will also give you access to further Sweeney Dog branded products that will further enhance your business and your profitability.

For a no obligation discussion , get in touch and we will send you information, or just ring for an informal chat. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity, its the chance you’ve been waiting for!

Her owner is an elderly lady that needs help to get Sophie out and about with dog walking.

She has been all over with The Sweeney Dog Team, down to the river , out with a huge Irish wolf hound or a St Bernard and always enjoys her walks and mixes well , especially with the smaller dogs and has really benefited from the socialisation that the year has given her.

Despite the awful weather here in York , Sweeney Dog have been out every day picking up and walking customers dogs. People (and their dogs) rely on our services and we will endeavour to always get to your dog or to feed your cat.
Even though it has been blizzard conditions this week, a dog walker can still have fun and watching a group of dogs charge about in the snow is great to watch. Hopefully when they will go back to their homes they will be tired and have a good rest.

If your dog walker is letting you down, then get in touch with us. we have three vans and a 4×4 to help get around the streets and roads

I have just been to see a dog we used to walk about a year ago. It was re-homed as it bad habit of running away and staying out for 24 – 48 hours. You couldn’t tempt it back with food , it just loved being able to run free.

We helped him to be re-homed and it now lives with a great couple that have really tried to show consistent care and attention and given the dog consistent but caring and a stable home.

what a difference , it has put on much needed weight, its calm and confident and altogether a much happier and assured dog. Happy to walk off lead and not run away. Brilliant to see such a change and great credit to the new family that have taken the time and trouble to care.

We at Sweeney Dog are taking it out for walks when they are away on holiday and really looking forward to dog walking with some old friends of his.

It great to see how far a dog can progress with the right support and affection and in a small way been part of the transformation
